Relocating the house, office or furniture is almost always a
difficult task.
Here are some tips for moving and packing:
Find and finish
packaging supplier
1. Search for online moving providers and media packers,
i.e. Google, social or offline media networks, or suggestions from friends.
2. You can check with your company's HR if they have a packer
and move-in providers listed.
3. Talk to your HR about the payment process. Maybe your
current/potential company will do it or you may be asked to pay it yourself and
then send the invoice for reimbursement.
4. Check the supplier's rating of the moving companies and
packers from the available sources before finalizing.
Pre-movement steps
1. Once you freeze the packaging and move-in provider for
the relocation of your home. Call your company representative for a formal
survey and relocation meeting.
2. Feel free to show the moving company representative and
pack all household items. The most you describe to him will be able to do a
proper survey.
3. After the survey, ask them to describe the flow of the
service and make sure they will pack professionally.
4. Ensure that carriers and packers have a single focal
point from origin to delivery to destination.
5. Ask moving companies and packers to provide a copy of the

11. Please do not forget to take out transit insurance for
your home from packaging and moving companies, it is very nominal.
Post move/delivery
1. Keep in touch with the moving coordinator to check the
condition of the truck.
2. Please check your destination home correctly before the
truck arrives for delivery.
3. You can plan for yourself the arrangement of the
packaging furniture or you can request the help of the target supervisor.
4. The same teamwork of the packaging equipment for
unloading, unpacking, and delivery in accordance with the instructions given by
the packaging supervisor.
5. Once unpacking is complete, ask the packing supervisor to
completely remove the unpacking debris from your new home.
6. Ensure that furniture assembly and maintenance services
are handled by the moving company and packers.
7. Once you are completely satisfied with the delivery,
register to receive the packing and delivery documents and the feedback form.
8. If you find any damage, ask the packing supervisor to
take photos and submit the claim.
